Academica International Studies (DUAL)

Diploma Dual® is the official international equivalency program for high school diplomas, allowing students to obtain two diplomas simultaneously: one from their home country and the American High School Diploma.

With the aim of deepening and enhancing multilingualism, IEJ has, since 2020, partnered with Academica Corporation, the leading educational management institution in the United States and a leader in virtual education, with over 200 schools, more than 100,000 on-campus students, and 15,000 online students.

We thus offer a new extracurricular program for dual certification of Portuguese and American secondary education (3rd cycle) for students from the 9th grade onwards.

Thanks to this program, our students starting the 10th and 11th grades can be enrolled at the Institute and simultaneously in a High School in the USA, studying both curricula at the same time.

The program takes place online. Students will complete a total of 6 US credits which, together with the equivalencies of their studies at IEJ, will allow them to obtain, in addition to their Portuguese High School diploma, a US "High School" diploma.

The Dual Diploma Program offers many values ​​and advantages to students, highlighting three main objectives:

• Language Immersion: The program is conducted entirely in English from the very beginning, and offers constant and direct contact with the United States.
• Technological Immersion: 100% online, allowing students to work and develop in a completely digital environment.
• Personal Immersion: Fosters a high level of autonomy, responsibility, and maturity in the workplace.
