Técnico de Tourism
The Technical Course in Environmental and Rural Tourism aims to prepare students for the job market through practical learning, also guiding them towards "Knowing How to Be" and "Knowing How to Be" (in a positive, non-profit context). Given the paramount importance of environmental issues in the development of tourist destinations, this course trains students in the areas of Tourism and Environment, preparing them for the future challenges of tourism and addressing the lack of qualified labor in the sector.
This course provides a solid foundation in tourism and the environment, enabling students to develop various activities such as promoting tourism in rural areas, serving and welcoming tourists, providing entertainment in tourist contexts, and prospecting and managing new clients, among others. The vocational training option also provides adequate preparation for students who wish to continue their studies in higher education.
What will you learn?
- Research and interpret information on local and regional tourism resources and potential;
- Research and interpret the main global environmental problems and their causes;
- Apply customer service and reception techniques, explaining the norms and rules of protocol;
- Identify, select and prepare itineraries, routes and information of tourist interest;
- Define nature-based and rural tourism animation activities;
- Identify and define environmental and rural animation activities to be included in tourism animation programs;
- Apply communication techniques;
- Organize and promote environmental and rural animation activities, in open and/or closed spaces, according to the needs and motivations of clients;
- Conduct or collaborate in prospecting for new clients, as well as in managing the client portfolio;

Vocational Education is practical and free. You will be entitled to a scholarship of school supplies, food and free transportation.
